Brown.¹ Mary was born on 30 April 1911, at Scranton, Lackawanna County, PA 18505.² She was the daughter of Roger Campbell and Margaret Ann Casey. She married Thomas E. Carey. She resided, at Newark, New Jersey 07100, in 1992. She resided, at Moscow, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18444, in 1996. Mary attended the Second Casey Family Reunion August 3, 1996 at Split Rock Resort, Lake Harmony, Pennsylvania. She was the oldest member of the family attending the reunion..³ She resided at Nanticoke Villa, at Nanticoke, Luzerne County, Pennsylvania, in 1998.      Mary J. Carey, 86, a resident of Nanticoke Villa, formerly of Moscow, died Sunday morning in Wilkes-Barre Mercy Hospital. She was the widow of her first husband, Joseph P. Brown, and her second husband, Thomas Carey.
     Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Roger and Ann Casey Campbell.
     Surviving are a son, Joseph E. Brown, Slocum; several stepchildren; a sister, Loretta Romeo, Tuckerton, N.J; two brothers, Roger Campbell, Tampa, Fla., and Ronald Cuff, New Jersey; four grandchildren; several step-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
     The funeral will be Wednesday at noon in the Earl W. Lohman Funeral Home, 14 W. Green St., Nanticoke, with services by the Rev. John Krafchik. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Arlington, N.J.
     Friends may call Wednesday 10 a.m. until time of service.⁴

      Thomas E. Casey

     Thomas E. Carey, 310 Market Street., Moscow, died Thursday morning in Community Medical Center from injuries sustained in an auto accident in Elmhurst earlier in the week. His widow is the former Mary Jane Campbell Brown. His first wife, the former Catherine Campbell, died in 1974.
     Born in Scranton, son of the late Isabelle Thompson Carey, he had resided in Lyndhurst, N.J., for over 35 years. He had been employed by General Motors Corporation, Hyatt Division, Harrison, N.J. A Navy veteran, he was a member of the United Auto Workers Union and St. Catherine of Siena Church, Moscow.
     Also surviving are four daughters, Millie Palmore Nealon Jacobs, Clifton, N.J; Ann Maddalone, Lantana, Fla; Kathleen Mele, Wantage, N.J., and Alice Carey, Port St. Lucy, Fla; three sons, Thomas Jr., Wellington, Fla; David R., Lyndhurst, N.J., and Richard D. Jupiter, Fla; a step-son Joseph Brown, Lake Como; a sister, Alice Botana, Squantum, Mass; 17 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
     He was preceded in death by tow brothers, Frank and Dave, and a sister, Isabelle Kelly.
     The funeral will be Monday at 9:30 a.m. from the Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 401 Church St., Moscow, with Mass at 10 in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Moscow. Interment, St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
     Friends may call Sunday, 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m.².³ His body was interred on 30 August 1993, at St. Catherine's Cemetery at Moscow, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18444.      Mildred Carey is the daughter of Thomas E. Carey and Catherine Campbell. She married Ralph B. Palmore on 9 April 1964 at in Lyndhurst, New Jersey 07071.¹ She married Paul G. Nealon on 13 December 1975 at Moscow, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18444. She married Gerald Jacobs on 24 July 1993.

     Ralph was born on 26 July 1938. He married Mildred Carey on 9 April 1964 at in Lyndhurst, New Jersey 07071.¹ Ralph died on 10 October 1966 at Clifton, New Jersey 07011, at age 28.
