He was baptized on 17 January 1892, at at St. Rose of Lima Church, at Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18407, in the Roman Catholic faith.³ Daniel was employed at Delaware & Hudson Railroad as a machinest at Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18407, in 1925. He worked there for one year and then quit..² Daniel was employed at Traveling Eng'r Company as a machinest at Easton, Northampton County, Pennsylvania 18042, in 1926. He also only worked there for one year before he quit and came back to the Carbondale area..² Daniel was employed at Jermyn Colliery - Hudson Coal Co as a miner's laborer 638 at Jermyn, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18433, on 8 November 1927. Previous to this, he had worked in the mines for three years. One of those years was with the Hudson Coal Company.².² He resided 175 Belmont Street, at Carbondale, Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania 18407, on 8 November 1927.² Daniel retired from Ingersol Rand Co. at in Phillipsburg, New Jersey 08865. He resided 127 Main Street, at Glendon, Pennsylvania, in 1969.⁴ Daniel was a member of SS. Philip and James Church at Glendon, Pennsylvania. Daniel died on 25 June 1969 at home at 126 Main Street, Glendon, Pennsylvania, at age 77. CASEY, DANIEL A. late of 127 Main St., Glendon, formerly of this city. The funeral was held Saturday, June 28, with mass at 10 a.m. in St. Thomas Church, Archbald. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
     Mr. Casey died Wednesday, June 25, at home after an illness. Born in this city, he was the son of the late Martin and Jane Burdish Casey. Mr. Casey was a member of SS. Philip and James Church, Glendon, and was a retired employe of the Ingersol Rand Co., Phillipsburg, N.J.
     Surviving are his widow, ermine; tow sons, John, Washington, D.C., and Richard, Syracuse, N.Y; two daughters, Mrs. Marion Harris, North Carolina, and Mrs. Lucille Brown, Los Angeles, Calif; a sister, Mrs. William Burke, Archbald; a brother, Patrick, Scranton, and five grandchildren.⁴
