     Ambrose Casey, 63 Canaan St., Carbondale, died Tuesday afternoon in Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, following an illness. He was the husband of the former Grace Collins, who died Nov. 11,1975.
     Born in Carbondale, son of the late Martin and Kathryn Gerrity Casey, he was a retired employee of the Delaware and Hudson Railroad. He was educated in Carbondale public schools. An Army veteran of World War II, he served with Gen. George Patton's 8th Army Tank Corps in North Africa and Europe. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Church Carbondale; the Disabled American Veterans; and Mitchell Hose Company Carbondale.
     Surviving are a brother, John, Pine Beach, N.J; four sisters, Josephine Harris, with whom he resided; Margaret Reed, Verona, N.J; Mary Carroll, Lakehurst, N.J; and Eva Cook, Landover, Md; nieces and nephews; grandnieces and grandnephews; and cousins.
     He was preceded in death by three brothers, Patrick, Alphonse and James.
     The funeral will be Saturday from the Edward A. Wade Funeral Home, 4 Morris Place, Carbondale, with Mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Rose of Lima Church. Interment, Our Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Finch Hill.
